2025 Fall Session at Bunker Hills — Golden, Cozy & Perfectly Minnesota

There is nothing quite like Bunker Hills in the fall. 🍂

Every year, this park becomes one of my most requested locations — and after this year’s sessions, I’m reminded exactly why. Warm golden light, crisp leaves, winding trails, and the prettiest pockets of tall grasses that glow at sunset… it’s everything I love about photographing Minnesota families in the fall.

This sweet family’s session was one of my favorites of the season. We hit that perfect time where the leaves were turning deep amber and the sun dipped just right behind the trees. The kids ran, explored, snuggled with mom and dad, and soaked up every minute. No stiff posing — just real moments and real connection.

I shot this one with my Canon R5 and my favorite fall combo:

50mm for the close-ups + 200–400mm for those dreamy, compressed golden shots.

It gave us that soft, glowy look that fits my Bold & Golden editing style perfectly.

What I love most about Bunker Hills is how versatile it is:
